Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)

Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)

During a coronary bypass, blood flow is restored to the heart by creating an alternate route around the blocked arteries. This procedure can also be used to relieve angina symptoms when problems of the heart muscle present itself. Prior procedures required harvesting veins from the legs, resulting in a long and painful incision. Our facilities can perform endoscopic vein harvesting requiring only a 1-inch incision, less blood loss, and less pain.

Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (OPCABG)

Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (OPCABG) is a procedure that allows the heart to pump for itself rather than relying on a heart-lung machine. This surgery results in fewer complications, faster recovery time, and less risk for the patient. The OPCABG has also been associated with a decrease in the likelihood of strokes.
