Please join us for the 7th annual Neuroscience Symposium taking place at The Ritz-Carlton in Fort Lauderdale from Friday October 27th thru Saturday October 28th with an opportunity to earn up to 13 CEU's & 7 CME's. The theme of this year’s symposium is “Evolution of Neuroscience: Advances Through Technology and we are bringing together a wide array of neurologists from around the country to speak on a range of topics from vascular neurology and movement disorders to neuro-oncology and neuromuscular disease. The goal of this event is to connect the advances in technology, genetics, clinical trials, and outcomes research to inform and educate the medical community on current and future methods of treatment for neurological patients.

We are proud to welcome Susan Bressman, MD as the keynote speaker for the Florida Advanced Neuroscience Network 2017 Regional Neuroscience Symposium.

  • Dr. Bressman is an internationally renowned neurologist recognized for her work in characterizing genes and phenotypes related to Parkinson’s and Movement Disorders.
  • She and her colleagues at Albert Einstein College of Medicine are credited with reporting a specific gene mutation that is a major cause of Parkinson’s disease among Jews of Central and Eastern European descent.
  • She has authored more than 200 articles in peer-reviewed journals, and is a co-editor of two books and lectured in numerous national and international academic courses and symposia.
  • Named by Castle Connolly, New York Magazine, and The New York Times Magazine as a Best Doctor.

Dr. Bressman also serves on the scientific advisory boards and committees of the NIH, Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Bachmann-Strauss Foundation for Dystonia and Parkinson’s Research, American Academy of Neurology, and the Benign Essential Blepharospasm Research Foundation.
